Smith contends he is among a group of individuals who have traversed time and experienced life in the 22nd century. His narrative revolves around a classified experiment, a voyage to the year 2118, and a single blurred image that he showcases as proof of his experiences.
This account has been shared widely online for several years, but there has been no independently validated documentation, scientific evidence, or governmental confirmation to substantiate the occurrence of such a journey.
To protect his identity, Smith wore a human-like latex mask while recounting his experience, although he continued to use his real name and let viewers hear his voice. He claims that in the 1980s, he underwent a series of time travel trials that sent him approximately 130 years into the future.
As per Smith’s claims, he collaborated with the CIA in 1981 on groundbreaking technology that most people would associate with science fiction. He states that this experiment transported him to the year 2118 before bringing him back to his original time.
He revealed his account on the YouTube conspiracy channel ApexTV. In the interview, Smith painted a bleak picture of Earth’s future, characterized by climate destruction, widespread conflict, advanced technologies, and interactions with extraterrestrial beings.
Among Smith’s most alarming forecasts was the emergence of a third world war within the next century. He also cautioned that climate change, increasing sea levels, and elevated carbon dioxide levels would pose significant challenges for future generations.
Assertions regarding time travel to another century are challenging to validate without evidence that can be scrutinized by independent analysts. Smith sought to lend credibility to his narrative by displaying a photo he claimed was taken during his visit to 2118.
The photograph is indistinct and lacks clear details that could pinpoint when or where it was taken. Nonetheless, Smith asserted that it served as the most compelling physical evidence he had returned with from his alleged expedition.
Time does not elapse uniformly for all observers. Einstein’s theory of relativity indicates that both speed and gravitational forces can influence the rate at which time passes, an effect that scientists have measured using precise clocks and satellites.
This genuine phenomenon is known as time dilation. An individual traveling at speeds close to that of light could experience a slower passage of time compared to those remaining on Earth, effectively allowing them to leap further into the future than others.
However, NASA clarifies that, as it stands, individuals cannot employ a machine to leap hundreds of years into the past or future, contrary to science fiction depictions. Smith has not provided any technical details demonstrating how his purported 1981 experiment could surpass these boundaries.
Smith did not elaborate on how the alleged device transported him through time. Instead, he showcased the photograph, directing it towards the camera, revealing what appeared to be a row of green, uniquely shaped structures.
He claimed that the image depicted the skyline of a city approximately a century ahead in time. When addressing its low quality, Smith suggested that time travel might distort images, although he did not provide a scientific rationale or supporting documentation for this assertion.
Smith characterized the experiment as a “top secret” operation that originated 45 years prior. He also mentioned that the organization overseeing the project was seeking him out due to his decision to speak publicly about it.
In spite of his claims of being pursued, Smith revealed his identity and spoke in his normal voice throughout the recorded discussion. While the mask obscured his face, it did little to clarify his identity or the lack of verifiable evidence surrounding his story.
When asked why he chose to disclose this information, Smith stated: “The world as we know it will undergo significant changes, and I believe it is beneficial for humanity to be aware not just of these transformations but also of the secret technologies being kept from the public.”
He went on to suggest that earlier interviews had only scratched the surface of what transpired: “After my initial video and the second interview where I presented the photograph taken in the year 2118, I feel it is time to divulge every aspect of my experience.”
Smith warned that climate change would emerge as one of the most pressing threats to future generations. He initiated his caution by stating: “There are numerous hazards to humanity.”
“The greatest peril we face as a species is global warming, along with rising sea levels and increasing CO2 concentrations in our atmosphere.”
“We must take immediate actions to address global warming,” he asserted. Unlike his time travel claims, the correlation between human activities, rising carbon dioxide levels, elevated temperatures, and sea-level rise is supported by decades of empirical data. NASA’s climate findings include temperature trends, diminishing ice sheets, retreating glaciers, warming oceans, and rising global sea levels.
Smith intertwined genuine climate concerns with forecasts about extraterrestrials, flying vehicles, and a worldwide conflict. This amalgamation can render every element of his narrative seem equally speculative; however, climate science does not hinge on his purported journey to 2118.
Researchers monitor atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, ocean temperatures, ice melt, and sea levels through satellites and extensive measurements. These records can be scrutinized and validated by scientists globally, unlike an unclear photograph that lacks a confirmed date or location.
Smith’s portrayal of the future remains an unverified personal assertion. The threats associated with climate change are grounded in observable evidence present today, thus not necessitating belief in time travel to be considered credible.
The self-proclaimed “time traveler” also anticipated that extraterrestrial beings would arrive on Earth during the mid-21st century. He provided no tangible evidence for this portion of his narrative but regarded their arrival as another significant event in humanity’s future.

Smith alleged that the conflict would initiate from a disagreement between the United States and North Korea. He stated that the confrontation would begin on a limited scale but soon escalate, drawing in other nations.
Smith remarked: “The conflict began on a small scale, but it rapidly expanded, with Russia siding with North Korea.”
“Tensions began to rise, and eventually, missiles were launched.” He then described the aftermath without specifying the supposed targets or locations: “I cannot disclose where these missiles impacted; however, I can assure you that the consequences were not what anyone would deem favorable. Nonetheless, as a result of this conflict, the world began to unify.”
