The adult film industry figure had been planning to join the field as soon as she reached the age of 18.
Adult film actress Angela White has revealed that there is one significant regret she has about her professional journey.
Angela stepped into the adult film industry at just 18 years old.
Even prior to turning 18, she was preparing to enter the field, sharing that her research started as early as 14.
She mentioned that she frequently felt sidelined for her openness regarding her sexuality.
For Angela, the adult entertainment sector was the first place where she observed women with body shapes like hers being appreciated rather than mocked.
In an interview with news.com.au, Angela shared: “This was during a time when plus-size modeling hadn’t really gained traction yet.
“In those days, if a curvy woman appeared on television, she was often the subject of jokes. It was like seeing my body featured in a magazine filled with glam and sparkle.”
Looking back on her entry into the industry at 18, Angela enjoys her work but admits there’s one thing she would change if given the opportunity.
Her primary issue was not with the job itself but with how it impacted her personal relationships.
Angela specifically mentioned that she would approach conversations with her loved ones differently ‘if I could relive it all again.’
She elaborated: “I was just so thrilled and determined that this was the path I wanted for my life that I simply told everyone it was what I was doing. There was no space for comments, inquiries, or worries.”
In addition to her work in adult entertainment, Angela earned an honors degree in gender studies in 2010.
She decided to focus her thesis on six female adult film stars.
Within her thesis, Angela examined the overly simplistic perceptions of women in the industry, who are often categorized as either victims or empowered individuals, overlooking their complex realities.
“It’s always a binary choice — you’re either the unfortunate victim, or you’re a liberated warrior,” Angela pointed out.
“But the world doesn’t operate in such stark contrasts. It’s much more of a continuum.”
She added: “There are individuals like myself for whom this job is ideal. I feel strong and fulfilled doing it. I’m building a career around something I’m passionate about.
“Conversely, there are those who enter the field simply to pay off debts.”
Angela also highlighted a positive shift in the industry, particularly with the emergence of platforms like OnlyFans, which provide performers greater control over their content.
