However, for this reality television personality, who openly embraces polygamy, their domestic life operates in an entirely distinct manner.

The Davis family exemplifies this concept. They showcase their nontraditional way of life to audiences through the TLC series Seeking Sister Wife.
On the practical side of things, including aspects like sleeping arrangements and intimacy, the solution is a colossal 12-foot bed along with a designated room specifically for physical closeness.
This private area is playfully referred to as the ‘boom boom room’—and as the title suggests, that’s where the intimacy occurs.

In one episode, Nick and his three wives—Jennifer, April, and Danielle—showed viewers a glimpse of how they manage their unique sleeping arrangement.
“We officially have a 12ft wide bed,” April noted. Nick also mentioned that the delivery service revealed this was only the second time they had delivered such a large bed, the first being for a professional basketball player from the Denver Nuggets.
Nick acknowledged that most polygamous families typically do not opt for a single large bed, primarily due to the difficulty in finding sheets that fit a 12-foot bed. However, the Davis family argues that their household operates uniquely.
“But that’s just how we prefer to do it,” April added, emphasizing: “Because we don’t want to have to split our time with Nick.”
The family confessed that discovering a balance for intimacy within their marriage involved some experimentation. Nick clarified that things improved once they established the specific ‘boom boom room’ to ensure that everyone received equitable attention.
“Now that we have the sleeping situation sorted out, we might need to refresh the boom boom room,” Nick said with a smile.
However, not everyone in the family is on board with the name. Danielle, the newest wife, voiced her opinion, saying: “We can’t keep calling it that.”
Nick also provided a rather unconventional analogy for how he balances the relationships, likening their family structure to a solar system.
“In terms of the sexual attention each of my wives receives, it’s somewhat like a solar system,” he explained, placing himself as the ‘sun’ and comparing each of his wives to planets orbiting around him.
“Each planet orbits around the sun at its own distance, in its own path. They don’t all get the same amount of sunlight, but they all get what they need to stay in their orbit.”
